Question: From Kara Wentz

Whenever I workout my face gets very red and blotchy, and the redness stays for ages. Apparently this isn’t good for your skin, but I don’t want to give up exercise. Is this really a problem and can I do something about it?

Answer

Hi there. The blotchiness and redness is due to an increase in circulation in the body, this inflammation normally shows on the skin. Long term inflammation can definitely accelerate the ageing process.

I would recommend that you use an anti-inflammatory cream or serum daily to combat this inflammation. Neostrata Redness Neutralizing serum can be applied before and after an exercise session, it is also very important to use and SPF daily to reduce inflammation caused by sun exposure. P
