Hi Heidi, I Normally Relax My Hair At Home And Cut It If I Have

Question

Hi Heidi,
I normally relax my hair at home and cut it if I have split ends. I use the Optimum range. My hair is dry and brittle; I need to moisturise it but I don’t want it to be greasy. Can I use a serum and is there something for ethnic hair?

Ps. My hair is thick.

Thank you

Answer

Hello Nthabiseng,

Naturally curly hair is naturally dry. Relaxing also has the potential to make the hair brittle if done too often. I would recommend that you relax every 8-10 weeks and not before. The L’Oreal Optimum range does have a serum that you can use sparingly on a daily basis. Dark and Lovely has MOISTURE PLUS oil moisturiser LOTION which does not leave an oily residue and can also be used daily in place of a serum if you prefer. It is enriched with Almond Oil which will nourish and the product is designed to impart moisture and leave your hair with a glossy shine.

Warm regards
Heidi
