Question

Hi there, i used to be a died hard Roc fan, but since the products have been discontinued, I have no idea which skin product to use now. I found Roc left my skin with a glow, and since trying out other products, my skin is just not the same. Is there any other skin care product that you can recommend which is similar to Roc. Your help will be much appreciated :)

Answer

Hi! Thanks for your question. Unfortunately I am not familiar with Roc products as I have not personally used them, but it is good to always challenge and stimulate your skin by changing or adding to your normal skin care regime approximately every six months.

When looking for a new skin care range, it is good to keep the basics in mind: Cleanse & Exfoliate & Tone (Detox), Stimulate, Feed, Hydrate and Protect. I recommend to patients to add a serum to their normal skin care regime to maintain the skin’s glow and freshness as well as address specific concerns they may be experiencing in with their skin at that time.

Dermaheal by Lamelle is a fantastic range for anti aging which stimulates cell turnover and increases collagen production giving skin that healthy glow. I recommend the Dermaheal Daily Cellular Repair Cream loaded with Growth Factors and Peptides; Lamelle Cathepzyme 1 to exfoliate skin twice a week for normal or oily skin and the Lamelle Hydrating serum daily to increase hydration for that glow.

Hi Dr Allem, I have very sensitive lips. When I wear lipstick my lips become extremely dry and they peel the next day. Can you recommend a product to help and maybe even a lipstick brand that I could wear? Thanks so much!

Question from Cindi

Question

Hi, I recently developed a rash on the side of my underarm (just outside of the underarm area). I thought it was just heat or friction, but it has been a week and it has not gone away or shown any change. It doesn’t hurt, but its sensitive, red ans makes me feel self conscious in strappy shirts. Is there something else that could’ve caused this and what is the best way to treat it?

Hello Dr M.

I have major sensitive skin with terrible discoloration, and now I have developed a massive rash that and with all the products that I have tried both natural and chemical based, my face just burns and since it is sensitive to every thing I have tried, it has now gotten flaky and I also have hyper-pigmentation. I was told to get persivate cream and cetaphil clanser and lotion, but my skin burns and dries after moisturizing. what should I do next?
