I Am In The Process Of Wanting To Change My Skin Care Routine To

Question

I am in the process of wanting to change my skin care routine to address the fine lines that are starting to appear around my eyes. The problem is that the market is flooded with moisturisers and I don’t even know where to start. Added to that, I also have quite sensitive skin and get a fine rash on my face with certain creams. My budget will only allow me spend R800-R1000 on products at a time.

I’d appreciate any suggestions you may have :)

Answer

You need to go onto a good, active range containing growth factors and peptides. Lamelle is a brilliant product and they have a range called Dermaheal. Even if you just start off by purchasing ONE of their moisturisers to use day and night, and their sunblock, you will find that you get really great results, and their products last a good 2 months at a time, AND they are VERY reasonably priced (definitely within your budget). Many of my patients are on these products, they get great results and they do not want to use anything else. Later on, it’s always a good idea to add an active serum, which you can use once a day or every second day to just really boost your skin. But start there, and you won’t be disappointed!

Question from Lizelle Lloyd

Question

Hi Dr Maureen,

I am a 31 yr old mother with very limited time for skincare routine. I have recently been diagnosed with scalp atopic dermattis and have been put on a course of antibiotics for a full month. Ive only had severe cases after all three of my pregnancies with my last one been 8 months ago. How can I prevent this from returning and what products would you recommend for my scalp-keep in mind I have very curly ethic hair making it very difficult to use some products as I need extra moisture and conditioner for my hair. I have also recently noticed a mild case of eczema on my breast-making breastfeeding quite challenging.

Please help :)

Question

Hi Dr Maureen, I have oily skin and in my 30s. I’m looking for a skincare treatment that will assist with clearing my skin and keep the oiliness at bay as well as serve as an anti aging. It doesn’t have to be in the same jar. I’m currently using Mineraline Time-it products for anti-aging, but it’s not doing anything for the oilyness and the random breakouts. Please could you advice.
