I Don’t Have Much Time To Lie In The Sun, Usually Just For

Question

I don’t have much time to lie in the sun, usually just for an hour or 2 on a Sunday so I find I can’t work on my tan very well. I don’t like looking pale when there are masses of tanned people all around me – are there any products that can deepen or prolong one’s tan?

Answer

Thanks so much for this question. I can highly recommend the St Tropez products. We use these in our Skin Renewal Clinics. They have a variety of products that can fill a range of needs you may have when it comes to maintaining, prolonging, preparing for, or even removing your tan. I have tried these and they do not make your skin look yellow or “fake”. I recommend rather using these kinds of products and rather avoid the sun as you put yourself at so much risk for other issues if your risk regular sun exposure. Our very intense sun here in South Africa is not to be meddled with. Your face is especially an area you need to protect and keep out of the sun. PLEASE wear a sunblock every day on your face. I would highly recommend the Heliocare range for this. Should you have any more questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I have oily skin and get breakouts, but my main concern is my pores. They are fairly noticeable and I’m really not happy with them. Will regular facials help and what kind should I do?

Question from Lizelle Lloyd

Question

Hi Dr Maureen,

I am a 31 yr old mother with very limited time for skincare routine. I have recently been diagnosed with scalp atopic dermattis and have been put on a course of antibiotics for a full month. Ive only had severe cases after all three of my pregnancies with my last one been 8 months ago. How can I prevent this from returning and what products would you recommend for my scalp-keep in mind I have very curly ethic hair making it very difficult to use some products as I need extra moisture and conditioner for my hair. I have also recently noticed a mild case of eczema on my breast-making breastfeeding quite challenging.

Please help :)

From Tshehlana Noge

Question

Hi Dr Maureen, I have oily skin and in my 30s. I’m looking for a skincare treatment that will assist with clearing my skin and keep the oiliness at bay as well as serve as an anti aging. It doesn’t have to be in the same jar. I’m currently using Mineraline Time-it products for anti-aging, but it’s not doing anything for the oilyness and the random breakouts. Please could you advice.
