The joys of having children! I would love to help you with this problem. Let me explain to you what has happened. You obviously developed the acne lesions on your skin during your pregnancy due to hormonal fluctuations. Each acne lesion is a small area of inflammation on the skin, and when inflammed areas are exposed to the sun, they will pigment, resulting in dark marks. We call this Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation (PIH). So what we need to do is the following:
1) You need to be using a good facial sunblock, minimum SPF 30 every single day to prevent those marks from darkening. (I highly reccommend Heliocare sun protection products)
2) You need to be on a product that will lighten the existing marks, and prevent more from forming, such as Lumixyl or Lamelle’s Brigther Concentrate.
3) If you wish to speed up and improve your skin as quickly as possible, I highly reccommend that you consider having a few treatments to boost your skin and kick-start this process. A course of superficial chemical peels is a very good option for this particular concern.
4) It is also very advisable to ensure that you are using products on your skin that encourage cell turn over (cellular renewal), I am very fond of the following products for this particular purpose; Nimue cleanser and Conditioner OR Neostrata Exfoliating wash.
5) For an optional added benefit, the use of an oral supplement to boost your skin is also very advisable. Fro this purpose I highly reccommend Ovelle capsules by Lamelle.
