Question from Pookie Bear

Question

I am a 44 yrs old, have incredibly red facial skin (have to wear make-up) and spider veins too. I have recently bought Facial cups and the Circuflow oil as well. Would the suction of the cups not worsen the spider veins and cause new ones to develop? I have bought the body cups too, also for use on spider veins and cellulite. Most importantly I would like to know about whether the facial cups will realistically improve or potentially damage the veins further? Many thanks.

Answer

Thank you very much for your inquiry. Generally, if you’re going to be applying suction to an area where there are already dilated and weakened capillary walls, the chances of you worsening the problem is quite good. I would rather recommend you treat the problem, strengthen the skin in that area, and avoid any practices that may damage or harm your skin. If you’d like to consider treatment for the veins and the redness have a look at Nd:YAG Laser Vein Removal and Limelight for redness. Question

Hello Dr Allem!
My bottom lip is weirdly pigmented. It is not evenly toned – some spots are really dark, a large part of it is really pink, and then some part are the normal tone.
What could be the cause of this? And what is the solution to having evenly toned lips?
Thanks!

Question from Tanya de Langen

Question

Good Day Dr. I exercise but still have some fat around my waist. I have read about the vella treatments and fat freezing. However, I do not have money to waste and would like to know in your opinion what is the best way to go? Or are there some new developments? Also is there something that we can do at home if our finances are limited? Thank You so much. Tanya
