Question: Question from Ray-Jessie Hendricks

Hi Doctor Maureen Every morning of every day I cleanse my face and apply three products thereafter. First, I use a moisturizer for combination skin which removes excess oil together with the cleanser, then I use a complexion correcting and dark mark removing cream and finally I use a CC cream. Is it okay to use all these layers of skin. I am concerned that it might be too many products to use at once? The CC cream and dark marks removing cream both offer SPF of 50 and 15 respectively and the oil control moisturizer is very effective in making my skin matte and non-oily

Answer

It is absolutely fine to layer products, as long as this is done in the appropriate order (as per the protocols of the particular brand you are using with, or unless the products have been recommended to you in a specific way by a qualified skin care doctor or therapist).

As long as you are satisfied with the results that you are seeing from your products, and your skin is healthy, glowing, and you are not seeing any negative reactions.

Many, many product brands certainly recommend layering of products for best results.
