Answer

Believe it or not, sometimes we find that patients who are very conscientious with ensuring they regularly cleanse, do still have this problem. Sometimes, the problem is actually worsened by “over cleansing”. I think what is most important is to ascertain WHAT is causing you this problem in the first place. For example, if it is a hormonal imbalance, then no amount of cleansing is going to clear this up for you, as you need to sort out the cause. We have exceptionally good products that can help you with persistent break outs if you don’t want to go onto medication, but this will also only help you up to a point.

If it’s not a hormonal imbalance, then the most likely cause of the issue is an imbalance in the functioning of the skin. There I can definitely make recommendations that will certainly help you. In my clinics we use a product called Clarity, it is made by Lamelle, and in this range there is also a fantastic oral supplement that will help you bring these break outs under control.

Question

Goodday Dr, I am battling to get skincare products for my skin. I get severe contact dermatitis to almost anything I use. At the moment the only product I can use is Micellar Water but only a few weeks then I also can’t use it. I have tried aqueous cream, Avene, Eucerin. Any suggestions?
