Are you painting your nails for Bruce Jenner?

Wednesday, 29 April 2015

By now you would have heard that former Olympian and father to the Kardashian clan, Bruce Jenner, gave an emotional interview with Diane Sawyer last week, in which he confirmed rumours that he was transitioning to living as a woman.

After months of speculation, fans across the world have joined forces in support of Bruce, and started the #PaintYourNailsForBruce campaign. The campaign aims to get people to rally together and support Bruce in his decision – one manicure at a time.

During the interview Bruce said that he looks forward to wearing nail polish “long enough for it to chip off.” And as nail polish is traditionally considered a female product, having both men and women wear it, creates awareness.

What do you think – is this a great campaign, or will it have no impact whatsoever?

I don’t know who Bruce is, but I paint my nails for myself and like looking pretty for my hubby!

I think there’s far more relevant things worth painting our nails for and this Bruce campaign certainly sounds like a joke. So I’ll pass.

I love doing my nails, but I would not do it for something so stupid with all the current problems in the world.

Ayanda, you can say that again! LOL, another celebrity who has fans going mad. I am not too sure why Bruce’s decision is such a big deal though. I would really understand if the campaign was aimed towards fighting for LGBT rights.

I enjoy my mani and pedi every month, especially the gel paint which lasts much longer.

I dont paint my nails for anyone but myself and certainly would not want my husband to paint his nails.

I painted my nails for me. Celebrities get far too much attention.
