We thought we would examine the available styles and conduct some (highly unclinical) trials to find out just how hairy a man should be.
Clean cut and smooth as a baby’s butt
Nothing says ‘groomed’ like a man’s smooth cheeks. Not to mention the fact that getting up close and personal with him won’t leave your face looking like it’s crawled through a barbed-wire fence. There are many reasons why men (and women) prefer a bare face. It can definitely take a few years off, and it always looks presentable and neat. The key to a good, smooth look is proper skincare: a good shaving cream, a quality razor and a soothing aftershave balm will ensure skin is razor burn- and bump-free.
Bradley Cooper, a previous lover of the facial fuzz, was spotted looking decidedly clean-shaven at the U.S. Open recently. (Maybe J-Lo prefers it that way … rumour has it they’re dating!)
Our panel said:
We will take Bradley Cooper clean cut, 5 o’clock shadow, goatee, moustache or beard, please!
Which doesn’t really help you decide whether to go clean cut or not.
What do you think?
Check in again tomorrow for Part 2: The 7-days-a-week five o’clock shadow
