Nude nails for the office

Wednesday, 8 January 2014

There’s no rule saying you have to wear a certain shade of nail polish to work, but if you’re in a corporate environment, chances are your lumo green or indigo blue won’t cut it. No matter what your industry, nude nail polish is the best type to go for if you’re constantly in and out of meetings, have to give presentations or just want to have an overall polished and well-groomed (professional) look. After all, as much as we love bright and bold colours, your boss will probably take you more seriously if you’re rocking baby pink rather than electric yellow.

Those bold and bright colours are definitely not for the office. Essie is so trusted as a nail colour. And remember to check the nude shade suites your tone.

I enjoy nude for everyday wear. For my skin tone, OPI’s Nail Polish in Suzi Loves Cowboys works best for me. I got it because it does not streak on white paper at the office.

I love nude nail polish on OTHER people…they always manage to look so sleek and sophisticated. I’m yet to enjoy those benefits. Bright colours on my nails is what makes me happy at the moment

Some might brand the nude nail trend boring, but I think a colour palette of neutrals and nudes is insanely pretty, and will take you anywhere – unlike, say, a fluorescent green glitter, which might get you a few strange looks in the boardroom.

I really love nude colours; they are so versatile and yet so subtle you can use them with just about any other colour. The Sally Hansen colour is gorgeous!
