What’s keeping you busy right now?
I’m launching some exciting concepts on my radio show (like #morelivemusic on Monday nights). I love spending time outside: last week I went white water rafting, the week before I cruised around Cape Town on a Harley Davidson…
What is your skincare routine like?
To be honest, there is no routine. I use a face wash and moisturiser but that’s about it. My wife does a home facial once a month and (if I’m lucky) she puts my face through the routine too. I hate shaving and my skin doesn’t enjoy it much either, so I only shave when I absolutely have to. Luckily I work on radio and don’t need to look presentable all the time.
What grooming products do you use?
I use a wax product in my hair and a face wash. When I remember, I use a moisturiser cream. But I do make a point of wearing sunscreen without fail in the summer.
What would you say is your favourite/must have grooming product?
I think a face wash is a must have, but lately my favourite grooming product is a tub of body scrub I got in a goodie bag. Incredible stuff.
What aftershave are you wearing?
Eau de Sean (I don’t use aftershave at the moment).
Do you trim your beard yourself or do you visit a barber?
I run my electric razor across my face when I feel a little scruffy. I shave once every eight to ten days. The only time I visited a barber was the day of my wedding when I had the morning off.
The same question goes for your hair? DIY or stylist?
My pillow deserves most of the credit for my hairstyle: DIY all the way. I just run some wax through my hair for extra volume.
If we were to open your gym bag what would we find in it?
A towel, my shower gel and deodorant. Hopefully I remembered to pack clean underwear.
What grooming tips would you pass on to your kids one day?
Wear sunscreen! Baz Lurhman might have said it first, but I spent years in and out of the pool (as a swimmer and a coach). I used everything from SPF 5 to 100 and I’m really glad I did.
What is your number one health tip?
Drink loads of water (from the tap, not plastic bottles). The planet’s health is important too!
