BSA beauty editor Zoë lets us in on her go-to mascaras for volume, drama, and length. See which ones she can’t live without.

Beauty editor endorsed mascara

1. Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Lash Enhancing Mascara, R210
“I love how slim the wand is, which makes the separating and coating of lashes that much easier.”

2. Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Mascara, R295
“For drama, volume and a slight curl, I always turn to Hypnôse Drama!”

3. L’Oréal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara, R139.95
“An affordable mascara that offers volume and colour, and coats those hard-to-reach lashes.”

4. CK One Volumizing Mascara, R240
“I love that this mascara is buildable, clump-free and has a precision curved brush that intensifies your lashes.”

5. Clarins Be Long Mascara, R270
“An intense brown shade that gives off true colour while providing me with length and definition. It also lasts forever!”

  1. WAFIQA ABBAS

These are way too pricey for my budget, except the Loreal one. I’m currently using a Rimmel one which only costs like 100 and something and it works very well.

These products sound amazing and are so affordable!

Definitely have to say the Yves Roche Sexy Pulp Mascara. My eye lashes have never looked darker and longer! Only down side is that it is not a waterproof product.

These are very pricey and I would definitely use the Clarins if money wasn’t an issue

These mascaras are very expensive. I like using Avon’s mascaras and they work very well for half the price.

Surprised there isn’t any Maybelline mascaras on this top 5.

I dont know why but I always felt that Elizabeth Arden was for rich old women *sigh*… I am definitely going to (eventually) try all these mascaras. Printing this page for safe keeping! :D

I should get one of these for my girlfriend. She loves mascara.

I like a shorter wand, therefor the CK One looks a good option adding the volume makes it eve more suitable to my preference.

My favourite has to be the Volume Colossal goodie from Maybelline in the waterproof option. I have thin, straight, sparse lashes – the worst combo and I find that two coats of Volume Colossal gives me hope! I only ever try mascaras in a waterproof option because my lashes always brush my face under the eyes and I end up looking like a panda by midday.

Maybellines Colossal is definitely one of my favourites too! I also like the Falsies one. Currently using the Yardley Volume Lash Mascara which is great for making my lashes look thicker but doesn’t hold the curl so my lashes fall flat after only an hour.

I need length and a mascara that doesn’t give me raccoon eyes by lunch time. I have tried loads of mascaras but am yet to find that ‘one.’ Will give Miss Manga a try as i have heard great things about it!

Miss Manga is supposed to mean “manga” as in Japanese animations. I have googled some images but the mascara looks so clumpy …

I haven’t tried any of these. A lot of ladies love Miss Manga and I will be trying it soon

I’m yet to find the perfect mascara for me…but so far, Rimmel Retro Scandal Eyes is so far the best. The L’Oréal Mega Volume Miss Manga Mascara sounds promising, will try it next…

Now I know all the best Mascara’s. Will have to try one of these.

Avon Infinitize is great. There’s no clumping and your eyelashes dont feel glued together and it washes off easily. It lengthens as well as thickens your eyelashes with great effect :-D
