Just in time for Halloween, we’ve put together a simple Cleopatra look that you can copy in seconds. Why not keep it gorgeous while you go trick or treating? Watch the video below for the basic steps, and follow our recommendations.
Step 1: Apply a primer to your skin to keep your look in place for the whole evening. Try: Optiphi Set The Canvas, R227.43.
Step 2: Brighten your complexion, especially the dark areas under your eyes, with a corrector. Try: Bobbi Brown Corrector, R250.
Step 3: Apply your favourite foundation to create an even look. Try: Rimmel 25 Hour Lasting Foundation, R 99.95.
Step 4: Apply an under-eye concealer like black|Up Click Pen Concealer, R345.
Step 5: Finish your look with a bit of pressed powder like Maybelline Fit Me Pressed Powder, R 149.99.
Step 6: To give you that sun kissed look, apply a sweep of bronzer. Try: Clarins Bronzing Duo, R375.
Step 7: Create a metallic eye by applying gorgeous shades of gold and bronze to the eyelid. Add a glitter pigment to the crease and inner corner of eyes for a more intense look. Try: MAC Eye Shadow in Gilty Morsel, R180.
Step 8: Line your entire eye with a black liner to create that signature Cleopatra eye. Bring it outwards to create a cat eye look. Try: Rimmel Scandal Eyes Precision Micro Eyeliner, R89.95. You may want to switch to a gel liner when lining your waterline.
Step 9: Apply two coats of black mascara to your top and bottom lash line. You can apply a set of false lashes for a more dramatic look. Almay Intense I-Color Volumizing Mascara, R145 is a great pick.
Step 10: Apply a sweep a clear or nude gloss, as you don’t want to distract from your eye area.
