Five wow blushers to rock this winter

blushers

Most of us stick to darker, more subdued blushers in winter, but this season we’re seeing a lot of shimmery, luminous compacts to complement equally luminous skin. From pretty pinks to luxurious golds, there’s a shimmer to match every skin tone. Fair and lighter skins look their best with a peach or pink-toned blusher, while darker skins get an amazing glow from bronzes and golds. Plus, what’s great about these shades is you’re not restricted to your cheeks – you can use them as an all-over blusher or highlighter too.

Which of these beauties will you be trying?

black|Up Sublime Powder in NPS 01, R385

MAC Wash & Dry High-Light Powder in Freshen Up (limited edition), R420

Lancôme Belle De Teint in 08 Belle Du Nuit, R599

Avon Ideal Flawless CC Colour Correcting Pearls, R159.95

Smashbox Fusion Soft Lights in Baked Starblush, R360

Not a fan of the brownish/orange shades, but I love the Avon correcting pearls and the other pink one(don’t know which brand that is).

Mac all the way! Bought cheeky bronze the other day and it’s so beautiful! Perfect for any season.

I really like the Smashbox compact but it would be far too shimmery for me as a blusher. I’d much rather stick to using it as a highlighter.

With gold and bronze being so on trend at the moment, I’m definitely opting to invest in one of these gorgeous compacts.

I use my Bobbi Brown. It’s the best but it is a little expensive.

I really need to order the Avon corrector pearls since I only have the bronzing ones. Hopefully they work wonders. They are such beautiful products!
