Bloom’s new colour collection, Gypsy Glamour, has just hit the shelves. The look’s been inspired by the new set of uber-glam boho-babes, starlets like Nicole Richie and Mary-Kate Olsen.
The range includes a Cream Bronzing Duo, R230, Kohl Eyeliner pot and brush, R75, and new nudie-hued lip gloss, R130, and lipstick shades, R135.
We got given the eyeliner, a lipgloss and lippie to test, so I thought I’d be a darling and make swatches for you. Check it out:
I reckon that if you only buy just one thing, you make it the Kohl Eyeliner. At R75 its a total steal (I actually thought the press release had messed up the price) and its luxurious, creamy formula ensures it literally glides across your skin. I also like that once it’s on, it sits vas. To get it off, you have to use a seriously oily make-up remover, so you’re guaranteed an intense looking line that won’t budge throughout the day.
Our top application tip?
Begin by lining the middle of the lash line and then move outwards, towards the outer corner of your eye. Next, apply your liner in the inner corner of your eye.
To get the boho-look, ideally your eyeliner should be applied in a thick enough line so that it’s visible when your eyes are open. Also, ensure that your line is slightly thicker from the middle to outward section. With a little bit of practice, you’ll be able to do it in two minutes flat.
