I luuurve all things french, so I was absolutely delighted when I got a chance to try Givenchy’s Eye and Brow Prisme.
It comes in a gorgeously designed two tier case, appealing to the designer in me. Two? Yes, I discovered it quite by accident while oohing and aahing over the design of the box. With a ‘oh wow’ I discovered a hidden compartment, holding three very small pieces of treasure! An eye-brow brush, liner/blender brush and… cute mini – tweezers. The mirror on the inside of the lid is fabulous, you can see every detail. What more could a girl ask for in a compact? Well…
The beauty of this little compact, is that the powders can be used wet or dry!
The super soft powders blend absolutely beautifully to a sheen finish, with a more natural colour when used dry. When adding water it becomes a cream and the colour becomes more intense layer by layer. The liner/blender brush is perfect for creating a defined line, for a soft liquid liner effect. So, if you are not satisfied with the depth/intensity of the colour in your compact no need to carry extra darker colour compacts around with you, just add water! It’s brilliant.
The packaging comes with an insert that has step by step instructions on how to use the product wet and dry, as well as tips on how to tweeze and shape your brows with the brow brush.
I had a few hiccups with treasure I found though… I suggest you use the tweezers for emergency stray hairs only. They are quite difficult to get the hang of as they are so small, so trying to clean up a large area is frustrating. I also found that I got impatient with the size of liner/blender brush when blending. It took too long and I ended up using my usual (larger) brush applicator to blend.
But all in all, the best blendable colour I have used and a great addition to my make-up bag!
