Kim Kardashian has let her fans in on the wedding of the century (Will and Kate who?). The pair were married at a private estate in Montecito in California two weeks ago. The wedding is estimated to have cost in the region of $10 million (that’s more rands than we can count) – not least because she wore THREE Vera Wang dresses during her big day: a strapless princess ball gown to walk down the aisle; a georgette mermaid dress for her first dance; and a V-necked, bias-cut satin dress with a circle skirt for the rest of the star-filled reception.
Kim’s new wedding band glittered next to her massive $2 million engagement ring.
Her beautiful chignon was created by Peter Savic who says, ‘We wanted to make her an amazing movie star from the ’40s, ’50s, ’60s; like Sophia Loren or Ava Gardner or Elizabeth Taylor.’ And he succeeded, we think you’ll agree!
Make-up artist, Mario Dedivanovic, says that Kim wanted to look like the most polished and beautiful version of herself (that’s practically our motto!).
Kim’s make-up made her look like the most polished and beautiful version of herself.
‘I used Lancôme 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Golden Frenzy,’ he explains. ‘I swept the golden shade all over her lid, the darkest shade along her crease and the lightest shade I used on the brow bone to highlight. I swept the golden colours along Kim’s lower lash line for a super-soft smoky look.’ He then applied two coats of Lancome Hypnose Doll Lashes mascara in So Black to give her lashes length and volume. Lancôme’s L’Absolu Nu lipstick in Coral Sand (a sheer peachy colour) with a touch of shine added by Lancôme La Laque Fever lip gloss in Ravishing Coral, gave her that gorgeous pout.
Although it was Kim and Kris’s day, they didn’t forget about the wedding party. Kim has revealed that as a gift to her bridesmaids, she gave them initialed Judith Leiber custom-made bags. She also gave her mother and new mother-in-law Judith Leiber bags.
