Nandi Madida gets iconic with LUX
Musician, actor, TV personality and new mom, Nandi Madida has been announced as the new face of the LUX.
Nandi joins the likes of beauties such as Khanyi Dhlomo, Basetsana Kumalo, Joanne Strauss, Sonia Mbele and Felicia Mabuza-Suttle, who have previously partnered with the brand.
“I’m ecstatic about this partnership and honoured to join the ranks of legendary South Africa women who I admire. To be associated with a heritage brand that is loved by, and talks to the varied women of my country, makes me very happy,” said Madida.
She will star in LUX’s new campaign titled “We Are More”, which aims to highlight both the outward and inward beauty of women. Nice one, Nandi!
Camila Cabello teams up with L’Oreal Paris
You may recognise this beauty from her girl group days with Fifth Harmony, but Camila is doing big things as a solo artist – including fronting campaigns for one of the biggest beauty brands in the world! The Crying in the Club singer has signed on as spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris.
At 20 years old, Camila, who also recently starred in the Guess Jeans Fall 2017 campaign joins mega stars like Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria who were also spokesmodels for the brand.
The talented beauty was notably excited about her new gig, “I’ve always looked up to the L’Oréal Paris brand as a symbol of quality and elegance. I love how they empower women to feel their best and I’m so honoured to become part of the L’Oréal family!”
“The tag line “because you’re worth it” has so much meaning to me. It’s so empowering and validating at the same time, an affirmation that we deserve to treat ourselves to the best.”
We’re excited to see Camila take this next step in her career and look forward to some awesome campaigns.
Jozi beauty for Bodyography
Bodyography Professional Cosmetics announced their first African brand ambassador, Mandy Mhlungu.
Championing “Beauty with a conscience”, the cruelty-free brand aims spread a new approach to beauty and beauty products as a whole.
Bodyography brand manager and the makeup artist behind the campaign, Ryno Mulder was excited about the fresh new face. “The brand’s focus has always been everyday women and because of that we chose not to feature a professional model in the images but rather showcase the natural beauty of a young woman beginning her career. Mandy was as good as any professional model and was in front of the camera just two days before she was leaving to further her career internationally”.
