Awards season glam has provided us with major beauty inspiration and the 69th annual Emmy Awards red carpet was no different. These are our favourite beauty snaps from the biggest night in television (and beauty, it seems).
Pretty in candy pink
Mandy Moore was a vision of effortless glam – on and off the carpet. We love her pink Laura Mercier Velour lippie in French Kiss and her tousled updo in this BTS snap.
These four talented beauties rocked some of this seasons’ biggest trends.
Gabrielle Union was positively glowing in a textured power pony and WOW lashes, while Emmy Rossum served old Hollywood glam with her finger waves and smokey eye make-up.
True to form, cool-girl chic was nailed by the lovely Zoe Kravitz (because what else could we expect?). We’re crushing on her dewy skin, perfect pixie and subtle cat-eye. Speaking of crushing, Priyanka Chopra chose to turn things up a notch with her plum lip and complementing bold eye make-up. #BeautyGoals
When in doubt… accessorize
Julianne Hough proved a simple pony can be elevated to glam status with a loosely hung black ribbon and a side path. Romantic and sophisticated – and best of all, easy to recreate.
Uzo Uduba served a serious hair moment on the red carpet with her gorgeous, voluminous fro. The Orange is the New Black star was beaming with glowing skin and her smokey cat eye with silver accents. Smiles all ’round.
The one to watch
Yara Shahidi is fast becoming a beauty favourite. Glossy lips, wet-look hair, perfect cat-eye and glowing skin in a Prada gown. Winning!
Emily Ratajkowski smouldered with her bold blue eye make-up and ultra simple (but effective) low ponytail.
#WorkIt in metallic
Lavern Cox rocked a gunmetal smokey eye to match her gown – reminiscent of her new limited edition metallic #CelebrateYourself collection with Orly Nails.
Slaying since ’37
Jane Fonda served age-defying beauty (at 79) in her hot pink gown, fierce bangs and a sleek knotted pony. GlamMa alert!
Seeing red (hearts)
While the Emmys seemed to be a Big Little Lies appreciation ceremony – judging by all the awards the show and cast nabbed on the night (we’re not complaining), we especially appreciated the love and support the ladies shared. Nothing more beautiful than women supporting each other – and also a classic red lip. It’s safe to say that’ll always be in style.
