Why we love Essie’s Lilacism

Wednesday, 11 February 2015

Lilacism, a nail polish shade from the Essie collection The Art of Spring, has been around since 2010, yet it’s still making headlines.

This soft shade of lavender is a favourite of Kate Hudson’s, it’s graced the catwalks at Wes Gordon’s S/S 2014 and Emerson’s F/W 2014 shows and has just crowned itself our current obsession!

If you’re looking for a soft, feminine shade to wear on your nails all year round, then this is it. Plus, it’s super easy to incorporate into your wardrobe, office and home too.

What do you think? Love it as much as we do? Tell us below.

A beautiful, feminine shade. Reminds me of lavender flowers.

Lilacism is a gorgeous shade but I find it to be somewhat matte when it dries up, which I hate, because I like my colours to be super glossy, so that they appear to be fresh coats of paint. So I always apply a heavy coat of Good to Go! over Lilacism to give it that incredible shine I want.

The color Lavender seems like a great color to try out for Autumn/Winter 2015. I will invest in it.

Oh do I love Essie! Yes, they are a little pricey, but I can’t stand it when I have plain nails, therefore spending a bit more money on some great quality nail polish is totally worth it when it lasts and doesn’t chip easily!

I just bought it and I love it. It it’s such a feminine, pretty colour and goes with most of the items in my wardrobe. Not just this colour, but all of the essie nail polishes are amazing . They are such good quality and last longer than most other brands. Lilacism has quickly become my new favourite shade.
