I’ve had oily skin all my life, and I’m always testing out new cleansers and moisturisers in the hope that they will reduce my oiliness a bit. I’ve recently found a skincare routine and range that works perfectly for me, and my skin is now more under control than it has ever been. However, when this little bottle landed on my desk I found it difficult to ignore, so I decided to give it a try.
I had high expectations as I know it is part of the Benzac range – a benzoyl peroxide cream used to treat acne. What I loved most about this cleanser is its simplicity: the packaging is simple and it has a small opening so there’s no wasting of the product. The gel is clear, and it has a crisp, clean scent. A little bit goes a long way as it spreads beautifully and makes a lovely light foam.
But best of all, I love how fresh my skin feels once I rinse and dry it. Overall I’ve noticed that my shine is under control during the day and although I still struggle with a bit of oiliness, it’s definitely more under control and I have had fewer breakouts too.

I love this cleanser. I was using cuticles bar soaps to cleanse and recently found out how bar soaps are made from harsh ingredients so I switched to this cleanser as I have comedones prone skin. I can feel the difference after cleansing my skin that it is gently cleanser and not stripped of moisture like when I use face bars. I’ll continue using this product, love it.
I really love this product its scent is breathe taking although it sometimes leaves my skin feeling dry,but at the end of the day the moisturizer leaves my skin feeling fresh and i would definitely recommend someone with acne and oily skin to use this.
I have been using the Benzaderm starter pack and it has been very helpful to my relieve my acne but now it is out of range. The new Benzaderm cleanser is not effective at all. Please bring back the old cleanser and moisturiser. I had clearer and healthier skin with these products or suggest where I can still get the starter pack in Durban, South Africa.

I have bought Benzac AC5 gel together with the Benzaderm Oily Skin cleanser. My daughter as oily skin and pimple break outs. The skin feels dry after use. The both products used together helps combat the acne break out.
I have very oily skin. This helps with the oil and gives me a great feeling after cleansing. Not a dry feeling at all. Great product.
