  1. BLACK OPAL TOTAL COVERAGE CONCALING FOUNDATION:
This medium to full coverage concealing foundation is fantastic, although the shades can be quite confusing, a helpful in-store beauty consultant will be most beneficial. I am mostly a Caramel foundation shade on many beauty brands, but the Black Opal concealing foundation shade in caramel was too light on me, and my beauty consultant advised that I try Nutmeg, and it was perfect. I have large pores and black head scaring, this medium to full coverage foundation masks all of these and does so for the entire day. It does not fade or melt, although it transfers onto clothes and doesn’t mattify the skin or keep the shine away (something that a great oil-absorbing powder can do) it stays on the WHOLE DAY. It is so easy to apply, to build up and wash off, it is convenient size, packaging and formula is also perfect for travelling. I love it!

  2. Okay, so truth be told I’ve used this foundation on three or four occasions. It does go on smoothly and blends really well. If your skin is dry or flaking you might want to exfoliate before you use this foundation, or any foundation in fact. I think the stick packaging is really cool, however I don’t use the stick directly on face. It feels as though I would apply too much if I used the stick so either use my fingers or a brush. My colour with Black Opal is Truly Topaz. I find that stick foundation matches my skin tone closer than the Truly Topaz in the cream foundation. Over all I think I like this product but its not for dry skin.

  3. We go through life looking for the “perfect match” and we kiss a lot of frogs before you meet the one. I feel the same way about Black Opal stick foundation, if you are looking for high coverage foundation which is true to ethnic skin types this is a definite must have.

  4. I’ve been using this product for about 2 months now. It provides an even coverage but it cause me to break out a lot, which is the only downfall.

  5. This is the best foundation match of my life. I am not exaggerating. I am often the last shade in any range in the market. It was no different for the True Color Stick Foundation range (shade Carob). However, what Black Opal has gotten right is my neutral undertone. I can barely see the foundation over my skin. This foundation covers dark spots, and blends easily using a kabuki brush or fingers to provide a smooth, even, and flawless finish. The coverage can be buildable from light, medium or heavy, without looking cakey. This foundation gives a satin to dewy finish, so if you have combination to oily skin, I recommend you lock in the goodness with a translucent powder. In addition, this foundation does not oxidize – so you will look exactly the same as you left the house. For those who contour or apply blusher/highlighter, the formula is perfect for that too. The packaging is very practical and good for traveling with. For the affordable price, you actually get a lot of product use. I really urge women with deeper skin tones to give this brand a try.
