What we say:
I used a tinted lip balm from Blistex many years ago and remember being disappointed with the product because it burnt my lips and left a stinging sensation. I was eager to try this new offering from them, as it sounded gentle and caring, and I wanted to give the brand another chance. I am extremely happy that I did, as this lip balm met all my expectations!

The texture is very soft and it smoothes on my lips nicely. It is virtually tasteless which is a huge plus for me – I don’t like flavoured / scented lip products at all.

I have been using it before going to bed, as well as a couple of times during the day. I felt that it lasted on my lips for a long time and I didn’t have to constantly reapply. It definitely helped to improve my dry, chapped winter lips and I was left with soft and smooth lips instead.

This is a product that I will recommend and most definitely buy in future. Well worth the price.

  1. As soon as you feel the tell tale tingling, warning you that a cold sore is coming on. Wrap an ice cube in a washcloth and hold it directly on the tingling spot. Ice the area two or three times a day for 15 to 20 minutes at a time. Remove the cube every 2 minutes for about 15 seconds.

Keep The Sore Moist and dab the cold sore with Blistex lip ointment several times a day. Do not let a cold sore get too dry. It can crack, which can delay healing and increase the pain.

Avoid Arginine, If you are prone to cold sores, it is recommended to avoid peanuts, chocolate, cereal grains, gelatine, carob, and raisins. These foods contain an abundance of the amino acid arginine, which promotes the growth of the virus.

I don’t often suffer from cold sores but every now and again life happens, then I reach out for Blistex!

The brand is awesome, I enjoy using the lip products during the change of season just to nourish my lips to prevent dryness and cracking, I would recommend to all.

  2. If you love the smell of freshly baked cupcakes, then you will love this lip balm. I was actually quite taken aback by the sweet scent of this product, but even more so by how effective it is as a lip protectant. It smells fantastic and works even better.

Small and nifty, this lip balm is perfectly fit for your pocket. It contains lip conditioners olive and grape seed oils, vitamin E and essential minerals to promote lip health. It also has an SPF of 15 to protect and prevent your lips from sun damage and sunburn.

What I love most about this product is that it instantly relieves dry lips and has a calming effect on delicate lip skin. In just a few strokes, my lips felt more soft and supple than before, and the best thing is that the feeling lasted for hours without reapplying the product.

Sounds too incredible? Give it a go and you will see for yourself.

  3. I’ve used Blistex-medi when my lips were extremely dry and had fewer blisters, and it did miracles. Will have to try this one out, as you can use it daily.

  4. I have used the entire Blistex range, and they are awesome! The Nurture and Nourish will leave your lips soft, and plump, as do all the Blistex lip balms! Currently I am using Blistex Medix as I take 40mg orratane daily, so my lips are extremely dry and I was getting a lot of blisters. The Medix, has a mild anesthetic and calms down my lips, and I haven’t gotten one fever blister since I started with it!

It gives a mild tingle when you apply it, and then bye bye discomfort from cracked lips! I have no more bleeding lips thanks to blistex and don’t think I will ever stop using it, I prefer the tubes to the pots, for application purposes, as it’s easier. Try blistex once, and you will never use another lip balm!
