What we say:
For months I was hesitant to try out this 45 day product system. This is because my skin is so sensitive and I tend to stick to what I know, and what I am used to using. I was worried that if I introduced this into my routine I was going to break out. Something however was telling me to try it. It was after I spoke to fellow Beauty eds who had used it and they were so impressed, and also the fact that founder Lee O’Brien founded and grew one of my favourite skincare brands, that I decided to give it a go.

I started including it in my morning routine after I had washed my face. The three-part system comes in clearly labelled packaging and are marked Energy 1, 2 and 3. You apply these skin energy products in order. You can apply moisturiser over the last product but I found that it gave me enough moisture and hydration.

This is what each energy will do for your skin:

Energy 1: A yellowy liquid/gel – It works as a sebum regulator, which helps to reduce oil, and to lighten and brighten the skin. Ergothioneine, which is a powerful amino acid and acts as an antioxidant to defend against free radical damage. I found that you only need three drops as it spreads very easily.

Energy 2: This clear gel will help protect the barrier functions of the skin by reversing environmental damage. Energy 2 is excellent for tired, dull skin as it helps to enhance its vitality. It felt almost cooling on my skin, and absorbed pretty quickly – just in time for the last step.

Energy 3: Feels like a thin mosturiser – this third step of the process helps protect the skin from oxidative stress and helps build up its barrier that could lead to sensitivity. I felt that it was hydrating enough to wear on its own.

Although it is a three-step process, all three products absorbed into my skin quick enough that it didn’t take up much time in my mornings. After about 12 days of use, I started to notice the overall improvement in my skin. I never reacted to it, and a few people even commented on the brightness of my skin and asked what I had on. I would definitely use this again, especially after the summer period or as we change season to give my skin a boost.
