ColorBurst Lip Butter has beautiful shiny colour combined with a buttery balm to give baby soft, healthy glowing lips. It’s a medium coverage colour with a high shine finish. The pampering gel-based formula instantly drenches lips with 156% more moisture. Ninety-four percent of women felt lips were softer, smoother, pampered, conditioned and instantly hydrated.

What we say:
‘After the first application I was sold. The thing about other lipsticks is that it dries up and leaves that unsightly peeling on the lips or that greasy line if it’s too shiny and sticky. This saves me the effort of applying lip primer or gloss before or after applying colour. It’s both a lip colour and a moisturiser. I also enjoy the fact that I can choose how deep I want the colour to look going easy during the day and darker in the evening. Where has it been all my life!’

‘I may be a little biased as Emma Stone is one of my favourite actresses, so I was aleady partially sold. But Revlon’s ColorBurst Lip Butter really is as buttery soft as it claims to be. The colour smoothed only easily and I could feel the moisturising formular sink into my lips. I’m not a fan of lip gloss, but the subtle shine the lip butter added to my lips had me doing an approving double-take when walking past mirrors in the office.’

‘With a menu of colours with names such as Sugar Frosting, Pink Truffle, Rasberry Pie and many more to choose from, who wouldn’t be tempted to try out the new lip butters. Well, I couldn’t wait! The packaging is enticing, the names are delicious and the colours are gorgeous – and guess what, the formula is rich, creamy and glides onto your lips. Like. Butter. Infused with hydrating mango, shea and coconut butter, they provide moisture, shine and colour.’

Beautiful sheer, hydrated lips!

I just love Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter! The product is so luxurious. CBLB adds the most exquisite colour to lips while hydrating and giving the perfect sheer finish. There is a fabulous selection of shades of pink, orange, red and nude to choose from depending on your skin tone. Lips are soft, smooth and truly eye-catching! The products’ packaging is fun yet stylish. Two thumbs up for affordability!

This lipstick is packaged super cute and colourful. I like the fact that the lid shuts close tightly and the fact that the lipstick goes all the way down. I find that when lipsticks have a little bit of stick showing that it might become a bit messy.
This lipcolor does not last that long on my lips. I have to reapply every few hours.
The only reason why I love this product is because it is so comfortable to wear and because it has a nice glossy finish to it.

Revlon is my tried and trusted brand, delivering high quality products over decades. Their affordability factor and gorgeous brand ambassadors like Olivia Wilde and Halle Berry make them an iconic name in the beauty industry, especially in SA as their roots here go farther back that most of today’s other popular brands. Lets talk about this gorgeous Lip Laquer which I got in the shade#135 Provocateur Femme Fatale. This colour is smoking hot! It glides on smoothly and is highly pigmented so one good swoop usually does the job. Its glossy and long lasting and can suits most skin tones. It’s shiny packaging gives this product a very high end feel and at R130.00 each its great value for money. You could also use it as a cream blusher as its not of a sticky consistency and would offer a nice rosy colour. They also have a Matte and Stain version of these balms. I’m thinking of channeling my inner Nicki Minaj with their Vivacious shade next.

Smooth as Butter

I purchased my Revlon Lip Butter in 001 Pink Truffle at an incredible price of R55 at a sale! This lip butter is so smooth and hydrating on the lips, and does not need to be re applied regularly. The colour itself of Pink Truffle is a dark red/pink shade. The packaging of the product is trendy and young.

Good for on the go

I love my MAC lippies and they’re my daily go to products. When I feel like something a bit more nourishing, I use my Revlon Lip Butter to give me the benefits I get from a lip balm, but with a wash of colour. My only problem with it is that I have to apply the lip butter to clean and dry lips in order for it to “sit” nicely. If I apply a lip balm followed by a Revlon lip butter – the product gathers at the edge of my lips and doesn’t spread evenly so I’m constantly dabbing it with my pinkie until it looks right.

Quite Kissable Indeed

Apart from the obvious hydration that this product boosts into the lips, I love the colour payoff. It is medium but build-able. It feels comfortable on the lips with no irritating scent. I find the packaging cute without looking like a child’s lipstick. I love the range of colours, there is definitely one to suit every person’s preference. And of course, it does leave my lips feeling soft and quite kissable indeed ;)
