What causes bad breath? The simple answer is the bacteria that live in our mouths. They breed and this releases chemicals that smell bad. You already know that brushing your teeth regularly is an absolute must for fresh breath. But all toothpastes are not equal when it comes to fighting germs. Most toothpastes clean and strengthen teeth with fluoride, but lasting fresh breath requires something more. The warming gel of Close Up’s Fire-Freeze toothpaste targets odour-causing germs while the refreshing sensation of the cooling gel provides long-lasting freshness.
What we say:
‘Over the years I’ve gotten used to that burning sensation a few toothpastes have leave behind, which TV ads like to call the “fresh feeling”. But if I were a kid I’d never use anything other than Close-Up’s Fire Freeze toothpaste! I’m a big fan of fireballs (as in the candy), so the fire-balls-like taste this toothpaste leaves behind not only tastes great but it also leaves your mouth feeling refreshed and even a little soothed. The cinnamon-fresh taste doesn’t last long though, just up until your first cup of coffee, but my teeth definitely feel smoother up until lunch.
‘Unfortunately the tube is a little clumsy as you’ve got to twist of the cap – which for me means I end up squeezing the tube and its contents as I grapple for a better grip.’
