What we say:
Finally something without sandalwood! Capping off the clothing label’s spring/summer 2014 collection is the Lacoste Live eau de toilette. The cubed packaging and bottle could be accessories themselves (if that’s your thing of course). Clean cut deep blue lines frame exciting red and white flats and these are accented with inverted text and that iconic happy croc.

Likewise the scent is clean and fresh, coming right off the racket with a burst of lime complimented by light aquatic notes. These are followed by green and liquorice notes but its the lingering wood that makes this is very much pour homme. Although a great pick me up for this dreary winter we’re having, this scent will definitely work its best game in spring/summer from breakfast meetings all the way through to late night soirées.

I am familiar with Lacoste fragrances but have never come across this scent until I had the opportunity to be a part of this trial team. My first impression of this fragrance was that it had a strong smell, but it wasn’t overbearing or overpowering. I find that it’s a very unique and distinctive scent, yet I can’t say that it reminds me of anything specific. Because it’s quite a strong scent when you first spray it, I find that it lasts throughout most of the day. It’s a fresh scent and I can definitely tell that there are aquatic elements in the ingredients.

The packaging is simple yet effective. The cube-shaped bottle is very basic but it suits the style of the scent and I love the simplicity. The combination of white, blue and red works very well and it gives the fragrance a masculine look. I think the fragrance suits guys in their 20s and older and it definitely reminds me of something a business man would wear. I would highly recommend it and would definitely buy it again in the future.

Lacoste Live is the latest fragrance from Lacoste, which is a brand that I’ve been loyal to for many years. The bottle is bold and edgy, with clean lines and bright white, red & blue. A zesty energising fragrance – a great day-time scent. The burst of fresh lime which is accentuated by aquatic notes hits you at first, with layers of green leaves which add to its incredible freshness. The Guaiac Wood and dark licorice, add smoky warmth to the base notes.

I really like this fragrance, not only does it last the whole day but it’s also quite different to a lot of the others I use. It’s also find it quite strong so one doesn’t need to use a lot to get the desired effect.
