What we say:
After using the L’Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream & being pretty pleased with it, I was quite keen to give the Revitalift Magic Blur Finishing Cream a go & I am very pleased with the results.

I am not a huge fan of the consistency. The whipped mousse formula makes it a bit tricky to get out of the tube. That being said, once it has been warmed up between your fingers, it applies to the face seamlessly and melts within seconds.

I struggle with oily skin, and I find the Magic Blur keeps shine at bay for much longer than my other primers! Not only does it keep my shine free, but it also works really well to minimise the appearance of my pores!

All-in-all I am thoroughly impressed with this product and will repurchase it when I am finished with my current tube.

  1. I purchased 2 of the Magic Blur Finishing Creams, one for my Mum and one for me. My mum doesn’t wear much make-up and was extremely pleased with the results (she uses it in conjunction with the Magic Blur Nude Magique cream as well). She says it makes her look brighter and more awake. My mum is blessed in the sense that she doesn’t have many wrinkles, but this helps the overall appearance of her skin.

The packaging was aesthetically pleasing, it came in a shiny red cardboard box (like most of the Revitalift range, I suspect) covered in plastic.

From my personal experience with the product (as someone that wears makeup every day): Given the thick consistency, the sound of the product coming out of the tube is a bit off-putting but once you apply it to your face, but it reduces the appearance of pores drastically. I find it a little difficult to differentiate between this “Blur Cream” and an everyday primer.

If I were to compare it to a primer, I would go for the Smashbox one rather. However, this product is far cheaper and is oily-skin friendly. It does leave your skin feeling smooth and velvety – a luxurious feeling. I would recommend this product.

  2. L’Oreal’s adverts are powerful. You have to have it. This mattifies, extends the life on your makeup and makes your skin feels silky smooth almost under an invisible layer. It illuminates and in my case functioned like pollyfiller filling in tiny lines around my eyes and making my pores seem smaller.
