  1. Maybelline Brow Satin Duo Brow Pencil & Filling Powder is my go-to brow product when I’m looking to do a full glam look. I would not use this for my everyday simple look.

The pen has two sides, on the one end you have your pencil and on the other, you have a sponge-like applicator that picks up product from the inside of its cap.

I like to use the pen/pencil side to draw on my brow hairs and I then go in with the sponge to fill in my brows.

There are three shades available; Blonde, Auburn and Deep Brown. They are available from Dischem, Clicks and Takealot.com. I found it on Takealot for R93.

I would highly recommend this product and I will be purchasing it again!

  2. I have the medium-brown shade of this nifty product, and I really like it! One end has a twist-out pencil. The “crayon” is quite creamy and very thin but not brittle, so it doesn’t break off or crumble when you apply it. It lasts very well through the entire day and the colour I have is ‘realistic’. Because the pencil is so thin, it really looks natural when you fill your brows with lots of tiny strokes, and best of all…no sharpening :). On the other end, the cap contains a cushioned “pouch” of brow powder inside the little cap, whilst the end has a rubbery pointed applicator to apply the powder with. I only use the powder in conjunction with the pencil for special occasions when I’m wearing a full face of make-up. Overall, I really like this product and will more than likely repurchase.

  3. I love this brow pencil and shadow combo. The colors are natural and stay on all day, no smudging. For a day time look I like to use only the shadow, but when I want more definition at night or special occasion the pencil gives me the definition I want.

I like that I never have to sharpen the pencil and that the shadow is neatly hidden away in the cap of the sponge side,no powdery mess or broken shadow ever again. Every time you close the cap, just the right amount of shadow gets distributed to the pointed shaped sponge.

I’ve been using this almost daily for the last 3 or 4 months and there is still quite a bit of product left. So it is well worth your money.
