  1. I found this product has an awful smell. It smells like chemicals. I really love the two sides where you blotch your face on the one side and touch up your powder one the other. I did find the packaging a bit flimsy and being a product for on the go usage if you had to spill water on this it would be damaged because its made from cardboard. I don’t find myself using this often because I don’t really find the need to touch up my powder because my skin is good but when I tried it out I was put off my the smell. Other than that its a good price and would be great for people on the go and in the sun! I love the concept.

  2. I must confess that my job includes travel in RSA. And it was not until I spied my refection in an airport mirror that I realised how shiny my face looked after a long day.

A chance trip to dischem unearthed this product which fits perfectly in my bag in a nice travel size book. The sheets in the book are large so you could probably use one divided into two for small areas. Its magic! instant absorption of oils and you can really see the outcome immediately.

It places a thin layer of powder on the face that covers quickly and does not look caked on.

    This has been a lifesaver.

  3. I would really love to try this out. I have been using MAC’s blotting papers for years now, and haven’t been able to replace them with a cheaper option. Thanks for the review.

  4. For people (like me) with oily skin, blotting paper can be a lifesaver in awful shiny situations. I often use them in summer months. Having tried the “NYX Fresh-faced Blotting paper” (ordered online), I found the Palladio rice paper to be a better alternative in terms of:
    1) Availability. In South Africa there are a few stockists of this product which make it easier to get a hold of
    2) General absorbing power
    3) The ability to soak up oil, not make-up. Blotting sheets can be considered to be a little unhygienic (to those that believe that, I’d rather have it on the paper than on my face). We don’t need them to be brown and tinged with foundation as well.
    4) The packaging allows for one sheet at a time and are easy to access quickly.
