Moroccanoil Treatment Oil

A conditioning, styling and finishing tool, Moroccanoil Treatment will instantly absorb into the hair to help create luminous shine and luxurious, silky perfection, transforming hair with dramatic results. Featuring a proprietary blend of powerful ingredients, including Moroccanoil’s signature argan oil, this advanced treatment fortifies hair, improves elasticity and shields against harmful environmental stressors. Providing the perfect foundation for hair styling, Moroccanoil Treatment instantly brings relief to damaged hair, leaving it shiny and healthy from root to tip.

What we say:
‘Score one for the good (limp-haired) guys: I was given a bottle of Moroccanoil Light For Fine or Light-colored Hair (apparently, blondes have more porous hair – which is why it goes green with too much pool chlorine, so they get lumped in with us baby-fine chaps). According to the marketing peeps, it is a “unique, ultralight formula … that instantly absorbs into hair to … enhance manageability, shine … without leaving residue”. As usual, I tried it out on the weekend, because despite everyone’s attempts to convince me otherwise, I was still deeply sceptical. The oil sinks into your hair instantly and it’s like it was never there except for the fact that your hair is smooth and your knots have all magically untangled themselves. And, just as they said there would be, there was an added bounce to my hair! How odd! I now only require a quarter of a bottle of mousse and a fifth of hairspray to make my feeble locks look slightly bouncy and more full. Impressed.’
Irene

‘There are so many hair products on the market today, each offering a different purpose and use – many of which, I think, don’t do what they say they will. But that is not the case with Moroccanoil. Shine and control all in one. After drying my hair off, a dollop of Moroccanoil is all I need to smooth through my hair. It leaves it feeling as soft as butter, with zero frizz. And my hair doesn’t look oily at all, as it gets absorbed into my hair follicles straight away. I have seen a difference in my hair in just two weeks.’

  1. Hi Pretty Ladies,

I recently started purchasing my products at salons, merely because I’ve found that salon recommended products are of higher quality and actually lasts longer because you don’t have to dispense huge amounts to obtain the desired result you want. I started using Moroccanoil Treatment Oil quite recently and I must say I am absolutely blown away. First of all, let’s start with the smell, it is divine and what I enjoyed most about the product is it’s high penetration , thick consistency gave you enough moisture and shine with a pea-sized amount. It’s non-greasy effect also aids the hair in looking healthy and lustrous. It retails for around 440-500 ZAR and can be found in most salons.

  2. I received a sample size bottle of Moroccanoil and it was the first hair oil I had ever tried… and it changed my life!
It appears to make hair oily when first applied but sinks in within a few minutes and leaves a gorgeous, glossy smooth finish.
Split ends and dry hair texture seem to completely vanish!
It gets rid of frizz and static too.
    And the smell is amazing!
Love the turquoise blue that is their packagings signature colour. The only thing that might make the bottle better is if it had a pump cap so that you dont have to risk pouring too much out.
I haven’t found a hair oil that matches this one but unfortunately it is quite pricey at about R475 :/ (though I am sure it lasts a long time since a little goes a long way) but its not one I can include in my daily routine just yet :(

  3. I think when this product came out it was considered the holy grail of a huge contingent of the population. I have purchased this product about two times and still don’t really know how I feel about it…The only marked difference I noticed is that my hair seemed a lot stronger… but I was hoping for maximum shine and healthy bounce which I sadly didn’t experience upon application…

  4. This has to be the best treatment I’ve used on my hair so far. My hair has never looked so healthy, and never have I received so many compliments. Not to mention, my hair has also grown. It is used on wet hair prior to styling. But I also use it as a serum after blow drying or curling, and it is not oily at all, yet adds shine to your hair.

  5. I use the Morrocan Treatment oil whenever I wash my hair,

I find that it smoothes out the frizz, moisturises my hair and makes it feel softer and more manageable.

I love the smell of the oil and the fact that it lasts forever so your cost per use is very low.

It truly is an investment into your hair, especially if your hair is colour treated/ highlighted.

I use 1-3 pumps for my hair but I have long hair and thick hair, so make sure you start out with a smaller amount and use more if your hair needs it.

  6. I recently bought Moroccanoil after many months of wanting this product. I opted for the Light option as I have very fine hair. So far I have been very impressed with this product – eager to see after a good few weeks.

  7. I bought this expecting it to be worth the money I spent. I was very disappointed. It was exactly the same as cheaper products and the bottle did not last as long as I expected it to. Having used the Greenlight Argan Oil, at the same price, I was not impressed with Moroccanoil at all.

  8. How did I manage before? I travel a lot and if I forget to pack my Moroccanoil I go into a panic! A must have product.

  9. I have only used mine once. It smells nice but I haven’t used it enough to see the real results. Will give it a shot.
