  1. A while ago I purchased this product. The main reason was the promises given and that it was priced well. I have a fair skin and have ‘reddish’ cheeks when it is too hot or cold. I must say, I like the packaging it comes in. It’s also small enough to carry places and won’t just break.

I am not so fond of the texture, I would have like a more gel-like texture. I must say though that it works well for the price offered and your foundation does go on easier and smoother when applying this CC primer. I can’t say that my make-up lasts longer with the primer on.

All in all, for the price it does mostly what it promises.

  2. Okay, So at first blush Yardley seems to be promising A LOT with this product (Helps minimise appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, brightens & enhances complexion, fights & covers up blemishes and imperfections, nourishes & rejuvenates with Advanced Vitamin Technology) . I guess that’s what made me purchase it – Well you know, to see if it delivers.

So in the battle of BB vs CC Creams which one is better?

The difference between BB and CC creams is subtle CC generally stands for “color correcting” and the products are meant to address issues like redness and circles. Whereas BB creams are like lighter foundation with a few skin care benefits thrown in

I however prefer a CC cream for the simple reason that women of color generally have more uneven skin and a CC cream works wonders for us.

First Impressions: Love the new packaging Yardley has, makes it seem so much more edgy,So thumbs up in that department.

The cream comes in 6 shades (Light, Fair, Medium, Warm Tan, Deep and Dark). Ultra smooth application, Great for dry skin types and is lightweight. The coverage is light to medium, so try not to skip the foundation just yet.

overall – a Great steal for a drug store product. Yardley CC Cream can be purchased from Dischem, Clicks and other leading Cosmetic retailers. You could find a better CC Cream in other more pricey brands, but for R110 I doubt you’d want to

  3. I tried this primer for the first time last week, and it’s a very welcome addition to my morning regime. Its texture is unlike any primer I have used before – it’s very lightweight, and feels almost powdery when applied to the skin. This was a bit strange at first; because it means you pat it onto your skin, rather than apply like a creamier textured product, but it spreads very easily, and helps my foundation go on smoothly, which is great. I also found that I don’t have to use too much to get the right effect.
