Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick

Last It Does

I have a dark berry colour that I love for a more “vampy” look, as is the trends theses days. I love the sleek tube, and design. It is easy to hold and doesn’t feel chunky. I love the actual lipstick, it applies smoothly and gives off good colour pay-off after one swipe and can be built up for a more intense look. I like that it is not super shiny but not so matte that it dries my lips and it feels comfortable to wear. It doesn’t last forever, but it’s around after that cup of coffee and biscuit. I definitely want to get more colours to play around with. My only issue was that when taking the label off the tube, it got very sticky and messy which was a pain to clean off.

Rimmel Mioisture Renew Lipstick

Renewed My Love For Lipstick

This is hands-down my favorite red of all time (500 Diva Red). I love this creamy lipstick, it applies like a dream and lasts through cups of tea, a salad and loads of talking. It is a low maintenance lipstick if ever there was one. It has a slight perfume scent but nothing over-powering and you really need to get your nose up in there to smell the scent. I love the purple jewel-like cover with the slanted top and the sleek silver tube. It is classy but still quirky. I bought one for my sister because she loved it so much and we both rock red lips whenever we feel feisty.

Pink Grapefruit Hand Cream

You Had Me At Grapefruit

I’m down for anything Grapefruit scented and this hand cream hits the nail on the head in terms of scent but its not so strong that you end up with a headache. I feel like the scent is pretty androgynous, it’s not too masculine or feminine. The cream itself is moisturising and nourishing and everything you want in a hand cream. I like the size of the tube, I can throw it in my handbag or clutch purse and I’m good to do. I feel like the price you pay for the amount of product you get is reasonable. The packaging reminds me of Crabtree & Evelyn/L’Occitane in terms of the metal tube and plastic cap. My only issue is the screw on cap, I wish it was a flip cap which might be easier to use once you have creamy hands.

The Body Shop All-In-One Instablur

Not My All-In-One

I was pretty bummed when I used this primer and my skin broke out. I am not sure what is in it that reacted badly to my skin but I found that whenever I used this primer, my skin would break out in small bumps, akin to a rash, on the sides of my jawline. It has a firm gel-like texture that I found to be a bit annoying because pieces would break off and fall when I use using it but if you let the product warm on your hand, it didn’t happen as much. It did mattify my skin but that is about it.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil

Best thing since sliced bread

I adore this oil, it is my all. It has a slight scent to it but nothing artificial or heavy. It’s a loose oil consistency and it is effective. It takes off everything, even those stubborn three coats of mascara is no match for the magic in this oil. I feel more confident wearing a full face of makeup knowing that this baby will get every single thing off and my skin will be hydrated, glowy and not feel stripped.

I like to rub this all over my face and eyes (it does sting a little if you get it into your eyeball so try not to) and then with damp hands massage the skin. I find that once water is added to this oil, it emulsifies and turns “milky”. I then wipe my face with a baby wipe and rinse well with luke warm water. I like the pump nozzle but I find that sometimes the bottle gets a bit oily when I shake it before use. But that is minor when compared to the wonders it has done for my take-off-my-makeup routine.

Diamond Quality

As far as nail polishes go, this is definitely one of the better quality ones. The consistency is light, spreads easily and does not streak, The brush is of good quality and with a few strokes your nails are covered. It dries quickly and the sparkly variant picks up any monotone nail colour instantly to give it a girlishly pretty sparkle without interfering with the base colour.
