Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

BabySkin for All

I was so excited when I grabbed the last tube of this little magician at my local department store. I love the smooth texture and how it pro-longs my make up. Its clear colour doesn’t affect your makeup shade. The tube makes it easy to dispense and avoids wasteage. Like with most Maybelline products the design is super trendy.
It is a but moist for my super oily skin but it was perfect for the winter months.

Catrice-ultimate-nail-lacquer

Raspberryfields Forever

This brilliant little beauty offers great coverage at a great price. I got this one for free with a popular mag a while ago but it retails for around R49.99 at Dischem as well as online.
It has the perfectly shaped brush and with 3 swoops your nails are done, high shine and this colour really does suit every skin tone. Great for pedicures especially in spring and summer time.

Nailed It!

I have been using the ColorShow Nail Colour for about a year now. The colours are opaque enough to get away with one coat, with pretty nude, coral and tealish shades that makes you go back for more. The brush and bottle size makes this comfortable to work with. At 7ml it’s slightly smaller than regular nail polishes, but the fact that it offers chip-resistant wear and that you can wear it for at least 5 days means it’s good value for money. Have you tried it out? If so, then comment below.

Revlon-ColorBurst-Lip-Butter

Va Va Voom

Revlon is my tried and trusted brand, delivering high quality products over decades. Their affordability factor and gorgeous brand ambassadors like Olivia Wilde and Halle Berry make them an iconic name in the beauty industry, especially in SA as their roots here go farther back that most of today’s other popular brands. Lets talk about this gorgeous Lip Laquer which I got in the shade#135 Provocateur Femme Fatale. This colour is smoking hot! It glides on smoothly and is highly pigmented so one good swoop usually does the job. Its glossy and long lasting and can suits most skin tones. It’s shiny packaging gives this product a very high end feel and at R130.00 each its great value for money. You could also use it as a cream blusher as its not of a sticky consistency and would offer a nice rosy colour. They also have a Matte and Stain version of these balms. I’m thinking of channeling my inner Nicki Minaj with their Vivacious shade next.

Bobbi Brown Extra Bright Advanced Moisture Cream

Smooth Operator

Bobbi Brown, a name synonymous with high quality beauty products that we just can’t seem to get enough of. This primer and moisturizer in one is an absolute dream. It’s soft on your skin and provides the perfect base for make up application. Its size (50 ml) and price (R350) makes this a favourite of mine because a little goes a long way and this product lasts for some time without needing to restock. Its lemony smell makes me want to taste it and it comes in a very chic glass jar with a signature BB lid. Other cool facts about this products – It’s oil free, has shea butter and offers instant hydration to your skin.

Essence Colour & Go Nail Polish

Colour Me Pretty

Essence has always been my go to brand for nail polish, they offer a variety of colours and finishes and their price is always right (R25.00 for 8ml). This international brand aimed at young students who who are just dabbling into the make up world proves to hold its own amongst the major players in the beauty aisle especially in the nail polish department.

I got the colour 174 Purple Sugar which is their tribute Pantones 2014 colour of the year – radiant orchid. Two coats was all it took to get the job done. Minimal chipping after 5 days of wear. The colour is pretty and can be used as a base for a variety of nail art designs. Perfect for a mani or pedi in summer. Full 5 stars from me, You can find your fave shade at a Clicks or Dischem nationwide.
