Gorgeous eyes!

I was delighted to receive this adorable eye shadow palette to test out. The packaging was really cute. My favourite was the peach party shade. It gave my eyes a subtle shimmer, without being too intimidating. The raspberry frosting shade also worked really well against my light skin tone. The black as a berry shade was the least favourite of mine- simply because I am not a fan of darker eye shadows – this shade is perfect for those who want a more edgy/goth look though. The shadows have good staying power- after a long night of hanging out, it was still looked fresh on my eyes. I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone looking to spice up their makeup. What’s really great about this kit is that you can choose your own shades to fit into the nifty little palette.

Wet n Wild MegaSlicks Balm Stain Moisturizing Lip Colour

A pop of peachy colour

I received the “See If I Carrot” shade by BSA to try out. The packaging looked good: it kind of reminded me of my crayons back in pre-school. The lip shade glided smoothly onto my lips and provided a pop of peachy colour which looked amazing. I love the fact that it doesn’t have much of scent, this is great for someone who is allergy prone like myself. One con; I do think the balm could be a little more moisturising. After a while of having it on lips started to feel and look a bit flaky, so I applied a bit of Vaseline to my lips. Overall, I would recommend this product – it has a great shade and it’s perfect for anyone who wants to stand out from the crowd. All this lip stain needed was a little more moisture and staying power.

I was thrilled to receive the Clarins Mascara Supra Volume from Beauty South Africa to review. The package was pretty; a simple red box. Inside the red box was mascara contained in a chic and modern silver tube. Upon opening the mascara, I noticed a bit of a chemical smell which wasn’t too pleasant. I then applied the mascara carefully to my lashes, and while it made my lashes look beautifully long and thick, it was rather clumpy. All in all, the mascara did the trick, but the clumpiness was quite a turn off. If Clarins fixes this little problem, it would make the perfect mascara to make eyes appear bigger and brighter in an instant. I would recommend this product if the clumpiness is something you don’t mind. Perhaps adding a tiny bit of oil to the mascara would make it less clumpy.

I was excited to review the Sun Creme Tinted CC SPF 50+ by Eucerin. The bottle has bright orange and white shades which I found fun and reminded me of summer times. Upon opening the bottle I found that the cream had a nice smell. I applied the cream all over my face and I was pleased with how it looked. I was worried it would be too light for my light brown skin tone, but it blended in quite nicely. It gave my skin a gorgeous sun kissed glow and lightly covered the redness on my skin. Although the coverage is very light and does not cover bad blemishes, I found that the cream felt great on my skin: it didn’t feel heavy on my skin like other CC creams. I would definitely recommend this product for those looking for a product that protects skin from the sun while covering imperfections.

I love trying out new face creams on the market, so I was glad that Beauty South Africa asked me to review the Moisture Rich Cream by Garnier. I love the pretty pink bottle, it gives it a nice feminine touch. The cream absorbed well into my skin, without any greasiness. It gave my skin a soft, supple texture that makes me feel so good! It also gave my skin a glow and my skin looks great! I recommend this product for those looking for affordable way to get super soft skin. A little goes a long way, so I think that R84.95 per bottle is a reasonable price.

More power please!

Upon opening the roll-on and spray, I found that they had a lovely smell; it reminded me of baby powder (the best scent in the world!).

Both the roll-on and the spray felt light on my skin and they absorbed really quickly. The product smelled just fine at the end of a long day.

However, I have to say that (after a while) I felt a bit of sweat under my arms which disappointed me. I am therefore not too impressed with Shield’s MotionSense technology.
