At first glance, I was really surprised at the size of this product. I honestly thought it would be much bigger than it was. Anyways, I bought it and had to try it out that very same day. At first I didn’t like the result because it flaked off my skin. I wasn’t sure if it was meant to do this.

However, the next time I tried it I used it after 5 minutes of letting my day cream absorb into my skin. Clearly I was wrong the first time I used it because this product worked magic on my pores!! The area I applied the silicon was along my T-zone because that is my troubled area. Anyways, The silicon made my nose in particular so smooth. I followed up by using my foundation and it applied so easily over my T-zone. Usually, my nose is really bumpy even when I apply my primer and then my foundation but after using Baby skin it was so smooth and even.

According to the information on the tube, it states that this product is an ‘instant pore eraser.’ To be honest, I felt that this made my pores smooth for the purpose of applying your foundation or powder on an even canvas, but my pores were still visible. It blurs your pores more than erases them completely. I personally feel that they over exaggerated the claim that it erases your pores.

I read a few reviews on this product and people claim that this product can act like a primer. I don’t agree. I felt that this doesn’t make my makeup last longer, but it does make it look more even on your skin.

Okay, so a bit more information about the product…

It looks like a transparent gel texture. You only need to apply a pea-size amount along your problem areas. It is also fragrance-free. Once applied, it gives you a smooth, satiny finish.

It comes with a small nozzle which is better because it allows you to control how much of the product comes out. It is important to remember that a little goes a long way with this product. It isn’t good to put too much of silicon on your skin.

This product is a bit expensive for the amount that you get. It retails for R82.50 at Dischem and Clicks stores. I mentioned in the beginning that this is the dupe for the Benefit Pore-fessional. I heard from a fellow blogger who attended to Benefit cosmetics launch that it will retail for about R395.00. Initially, I thought that the Maybelline Baby skin was really expensive but compared to the Pore-fessional I think it is quite worth it. It really makes your makeup look more natural since your skin is even.
