Beach bag must-haves

Wednesday, 7 November 2012

So summer is here, whether you like it or not. Those hot days lay ahead, and of course that means sun, sand and fun. You’ve got your cozzie but make sure you’re ready for those scorchers with these beach bag products that will make life easy and make you feel more comfortable.

beach bag must-haves

1. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream, R80

Ditch the heavy coverage and opt for a BB cream. It will give you a sheer coverage, SPF protection and glowing skin. Keep it in your bag for touch ups after your swim or if you decide to go for drinks afterwards.

2. Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Sun Defence for Face SPF50, R185 or Nimue Sun-C SPF 40, R295

Don’t take a chance with your skin this summer. Protect it as much as you possibly can. These sunscreens are the perfect size to pop into your bag and are both lightweight and non-greasy.

3. Clarins Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm, R155

There is nothing worse than dry, cracked lips. Keep them moisturised while you’re out and about with this lip balm. It offers immediate hydration and comfort, and is easy to apply due to the specifically designed tip. You don’t have to worry about sand granules making their way into your tube.

4. V05 Miracle Mist, R45.99

It’s not only your skin you need to protect from the sun. Your hair deserves just as much protection and pampering. Spritz on this miracle mist to rescue your tired, damaged, dry or frizzy hair. It smells soooo good!

5. TRESemmé Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo travel size, R34.99

If you’re leaving the beach to continue your summer fun at the bar, and have no time to go home and wash your hair, then this handy travel size dry shampoo by Tresemmé will remove oil and odour and feels just as good as if you’ve washed your hair.

6. Clicks Hygiene Hand Sanitiser Spray Gel

This waterless hand sanitiser is the perfect size to pop into your bag. Get rid of sea-salty hands and sticky ice cream fingers.

7. Clicks mySkin 3-in-1 Facial Cleansing Wipes

These quick and convenient facial wipes are great to use to refresh your face after a day on the beach or even while you’re on the beach. It’ll also remove any eye make-up that might have slid down your face.

8. Clicks 3 Piece Travel Set, R129.99

Now that you know what to pack in your beach bag, organise your products so they are easy to find and don’t go rolling around in your beach bag.

Wet wipes are a must-have. I read a while back that baby powder makes it easier to remove sand. Sprinkle some when you’re dusting yourself. I haven’t tried it, haven’t been to the beach in a verrrry long time.
