Bright as a button skin care treats

Not only do brightening products help reduce pigmentation marks and create a more even skin tone, but they also bring you a few steps closer to getting the lustrous complexion you’ve always been after. Try one of these powerful products to get your skin back on track:

Skin brightening products

Optiphi Complexion Control, R942.64
This daily moisturiser contains a host of active ingredients including Retinol, to help create an even complexion, smooth the skin’s texture and decrease the production of melanocyte (a skin-darkening pigment). It can be used twice a day, but because Retinol makes the skin more sensitive to the sun, extra sun protection should be action-ed.

Lamelle Luminesce Brighter Day, R628.60
Six brightening ingredients come together to make dull skin more radiant, and reduce the appearance of dark marks and spots. The fusion of natural and organic extracts with modern biotechnology means this product offers the best of both the natural and the technological worlds.

Garnier Dark Spot Corrector, R99.95
Suitable for all skin types and tones, this clinically tested moisturiser contains a high concentration of brightening vitamin C. This powerful antioxidant works to reduce the appearance of dark spots, age spots and blemish marks, leaving the skin looking luminous and radiant.

Clarins Bright Plus Brightening Hydrating Day Lotion SPF20, R565
This oil-free, smooth liquid brightens and evens the complexion while offering moisturisation and sun protection benefits. Skin gains radiance and is protected from future dark spots, and stays matte all day long.

Sisley Phyto-Blanc Absolute Lightening Essence, R3071
This intensive four-week treatment system contains patented ingredient, Phyto-Blanc Complex. Powerful ingredients reduce the intensity of dark spots within the first two weeks, while prickly pear flower extract stimulates the natural exfoliation of the skin. Skin is left feeling and looking bright and luminous.

Hi TJK, that would depend on the how dry your skin is. If you have oily skin, some of these products may offer enough hydration. If however you skin is dehydrated, you may require a moisturiser as well to ensure that your skin is well moisturised.

Garnier Dark Spot corrector is great value for money, but has to be used on a regular basis and at least a month, before a visible effect is noticed.

The Sisley Lightening Essence sounds like the perfect product to apply towards the end of summer when our skins are all in much need of brightening and TLC after the harsh effects of the summer sun. Definitely on my wish list
