Cleansers we love

Cleansers we loveWith all the different brands of face washes and cleansers available on the market today, sometimes it’s hard to choose. BeautySouthAfrica.com put a few to the test to help you to narrow it down.

Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Purifying Cream Cleanser, 125ml, R245.

If you wear make-up every day, then this is the cleanser for you. Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Purifying cream cleanser quickly removes all make-up and impurities and will leave your skin feeling clean and fresh without drying it out. The peach-toned cream cleanser is fragrance free and allergy tested.

Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel, 250ml, R370.

If you prefer a foaming face wash then Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel will do the trick. This lightly foaming gel is soap-free, contains no artificial colour or fragrance and tends to last you a very long time as a drop foams so much. It will remove all impurities without disturbing your skin’s natural moisture balance. This is a great product to use on all skin types.

Garnier Pure Daily Deep Pore Wash, 150ml, R69.99.

If you have a combination to oily skin and are prone to blackheads, Garnier Pure is right for you. It cleans your pores deep down and is enriched with purifying zinc and salicylic acid, which helps to slow down the reappearance of oil on the skin.

Skin 3-in-1 Facial Cleansing wipes,
R19.99.

Skin 3-in-1 Facial Cleansing wipes are great for when you are on the go and travelling. Conveniently packed and suitable for all skin types, these wipes gently cleanse, tone and remove make-up. Even better, they remove waterproof mascara! Aloe vera, vitamin E, vitamin A and chamomile will leave your skin feeling refreshed.

Amie New Leaf Skin Exfoliating Polish, R69.99.

With such pretty packing, wonderful smell and 93.8% natural ingredients, you will just love Amie. And this Exfoliating Polish will lift dead skin cells and smooth your skin. Mango and cocoa butter will moisturise it too. Their Morning Clear Purifying Wash, R69.99, is also lovely, and leaves skin feeling refreshed and not dried out as is sometimes the case with facial washes, I find.

Clarins Pure Melt Cleansing Gel, 125ml, R295

Is it a gel? No, it’s an oil! Now it’s a milk! This delicately but divinely scented cleanser goes on like a gel, but as you massage it into your skin it turns into a smooth oil. When you rinse it off, it turns into a milk. It’s suitable for all skin types and leaves mine feeling refreshed and plump. Love it.

  1. I’ve used Dermalogica’s Special Cleansing Gel for over a year. I know people tend to think that their range of products are expensive – but I think that this cleanser is probably the most value for money since it really lasts a long time. It has a very light scent, and cleanses my face perfectly without any sensitivity or residue. The best part is that my dry cheeks and oily T-zone are both taken care of without any tightness.
