Skin detox booster products

You may be wondering why on earth you would need to give your skin a detox, right? In today’s society, most of us lead pretty hectic lifestyles. Besides for it taking its toll on our bodies, our skin, which is the biggest organ of our body, shows the most visible signs – the signs of being overworked. Overworked skin means it loses the ability to regenerate itself in the proper way; therefore, we are left with a dull, dehydrated and tired-looking complexion. Enter: Skin detox boosters.

What they do
They are specifically designed with our busy lifestyles in mind and are used as boosters. They allow you to give your skin an instant refresh and pump in all the good ingredients your skin needs to get it back on track. We like to look at it as a holiday for your skin. Cells are renewed, hydration is improved and you are left with an overall brighter complexion. Each one is designed to be used in conjunction with your normal skin care routine, or it will replace either your morning or evening routine.

When to use a detoxifying product
This is best determined by considering the condition of your skin and what you are going through in terms of lifestyle and health. The most common times will be during periods of stress, sleepless nights and season changes. You will also only use them for a short period of time.

Which ones to try

Name: Sisley Botanical D-Tox, R1900
Days of use: 28 days / one month

The deal: It acts on all three levels of the skin’s detoxification chain and will leave your skin re-energinsed in four weeks. Apply this at night onto clean skin. It can be used in place of your night-time moisturizer, or in conjunction with it. One of the active ingredients are Ginko biloba, which acts as in instant booster and helps eliminate toxins. Hydrated, younger looking skin is your result.

Name: Bio-Theraputic bt-Cocktail, R1596
Days of use: 30 – 45 days

The deal: This 3-part skin energy system is fuel for your skin. Just like every living cell in our body, they require energy, and so does our skin. Energy in the form of ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) and all the rest of the ingredients that go into bt-Cocktails allow for optimal cellular health, therefore nourishing, protecting and enhancing our skin’s function. By using this cocktail, ATP is increased by 67%. Wrinkles and fine lines are reduced and pores are minimised. You will see an improvement in your elasticity too.

Applied in the morning before your day cream, it offers long-lasting hydration. Its strong dose of vitamin C reinforces collagen production, stimulates tissues and provides overall brightness to the skin. If your skin is showing your lack of sleep, this will help erase the signs.
