October 2013’s New Buys

Thursday, 3 October 2013

With so many new products going on sale each month, it’s hard to decide which ones you should hit. Or miss. Each month we bring you a selection of the latest products on our radar…

October's new buys

See By Chloé 50ml, R845
See by Chloé is a real girly-girl fragrance that will bring out your playful side. This fruity-floral scent embraces life and all the happy things that us women should, and want to, experience. The gorgeous glass bottle catches light to give it a real luxurious feel.
Available from Edgars stores.

Labello Lip Butter, R29.99
A handbag must-have, the new Labello Lip Butters melt onto your lips, leaving them supple with a silky gloss touch. Available in three flavours: Raspberry Rose, Vanilla & Macadamia and Original. We just love how cute the little tins are!
Available from leading retailers and pharmacies.

Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Cream, R715
While we are on the topic of anti-ageing and new buys, this month Kiehl’s launches an innovative, faster approach to anti-ageing. Just like we want to tackle all aspects of ageing, so does this new Multi-Corrective Cream. It will help to lift, firm and visibly redefine skin contours.
Available exclusively at Kiehl’s outlets nationwide.

Elizabeth Arden New York In Bloom Pure Finish Radiant Bronzing Powder, R280
This gorgeous limited edition bronzer is the perfect addition to a summer wardrobe. The lightweight, silky smooth texture gives the skin a beautiful bronze glow with hints of pink and gold. This mineral-based formulation is filled with antioxidants, and the gorgeous floral motif makes it absolutely irresistible.
Available at selected Elizabeth Arden counters nationwide.

Redken Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine Intense, R485
Discover shatterproof strength and multi-faceted shine with the new concentrated leave-in hair care oil by Redken. I love the fact that this product is silicone-free and it will seal, coat and smooth your hair cuticle. The gorgeous glass bottle with unique dropper allows for precise, no-waste dosage.
Available from selected salons nationwide.

Decléor Lift & Brighten Peeling Gel, R595
Decléor has a new anti-ageing range called Prolagène Lift. One of the products from the range that BeautySouthAfrica is drooling over is the Lift & Brighten Peeling Gel. With fruit acids such as grape, pineapple and passion fruit, this exfoliant gently removes the dull skin layer and allows one’s skin to feel retextured, more supple and visibly brighter.
Available from Woolworths stores and independent retailers.

Toni&Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray, R199.99
Toni&Guy have introduced a new collection called Hair Meet Wardrobe. They believe that style is not just about the clothes that we wear; it’s about how a look comes together. Their new range of styling products will help achieve this all-important synergy. The sea salt spray is one of the products from the Casual range. It offers light to medium hold and will give that lived in, beach-y look. Perfect for summer!
Available exclusively from Clicks stores.

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser 400ml, R39.99
If you are like me and tend to spend more time moisturising your face, and then run out of time to apply it on your body, Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser will become your new best friend. This handy product is applied after your showergel or soap, while still wet. Then simply rinse off and voilà, your skin is left feeling soft and moisturised!

Labello is one of those staple products that you always have on hand in the summer months; the new one will definitely be finding its way into my handbag, in my car and in back pocket of my cycling gear offering great protection on those long hot rides. Love my Labello!

The Decleor Brightening Gel is top of my summer wish list; Decleor is fast establishing credibility as an excellent brand and having Woolies endorsing it, makes even more credible.

Wow! R485 for a hair product is really on the expensive side. They’ve obviously spent a lot of time on developing the packaging but the focus should be on the content and not on the packaging. Too expensive for me

I tried the sample of the new Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser but was slightly disappointed with the result. It did not offer the usual deep moisture cover that I’m used to from regular Nivea products and I still had to apply my usual moisturiser over it, despite being careful not to towel off when exiting the shower

Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser is really good. I tried a free sample and I need to buy some for my very dry skin.
