Monday, 1 February 2016

Treatment name: Rolling Sands Massage with Kalahari Signature Scent Oils/Candle

What it is: A 60-minute massage with signature arm movements, with a chosen tranquil Kalahari oil.

Salon: Cape Grace Hotel

Recommended retail price: R990 for 60 minutes

What we say:
Last year we had the privilege of visiting the Spa at the Cape Grace Hotel in the Mother City for their signature massage treatment, the Rolling Sands Massage. The products/oil that is used during this treatment is from the Kalahari Ancient Desert Secrets range, which is so beautiful. It’s a specifically formulated spa range but they also have home collections. If you have not yet tried this range, we highly recommend it.

I got to experience the sensation of the rolling dunes of the peaceful Kalahari. I was totally put to sleep and enjoyed the tranquil massage with my chosen scent oil. There are four options to choose from: Tsamma, Aromatic Dune, Khoi San or Wild Honey. I chose the Tsamma oil and it was not overpowering at all. It also left my skin feeling unbelievably soft. The therapist used signature dancing arm movements to achieve my tranquil massage. Any stresses were softly worked out my shoulders and back. Writing about it now makes me wish I could be lying there again!

I love the Kalahari and the memories it evokes from travelling there. To experience it with my senses would be powerful. Love the indigenous spin on the treatment – it is what makes us unique and proudly South African!
