We put Prevage’s new Clarity Skin Tone Corrector to the

The newest addition to the Prevage line up? Prevage Clarity Skin Tone Corrector, R895,00. It promises to help minimise the appearance of age spots, freckles and discolouration.

Prevage Clarity
Prevage Clarity – pigmentation’s worst enemy?

Aside from making use of super-antioxidant Idebenone, which helps to encourage radiant, healthy-looking skin, this guy also contains Soy Ferulate C. Soy Ferulate helps shield the skin from the free-radicals that can lead to the formation of dark spots while vitamin C lightens up those that already exist.

According to Prevage, 61% of women who used the product in a consumer home test saw an improvement in the appearance of dark spots in as little as 14 days and even better results after 12 weeks. Exciting stuff…

So ja… I’m going to be putting this boy to the test and seeing if he can make a difference to the two little pigmentation patches I have under each of my eyes as well as the bridge of my nose. They’re both pretty light and can easily covered with concealer, but I’d like to blitz them nonetheless. Don’t want them to progress or spread as I’ll end up looking like a bloody Dalmation before I’m 40…

If you’re keen to see how I go, watch this space. I’ll be sure to update you on ‘Prevage spot-blitzing journey’ as the weeks roll by. So far I can tell you that I like the hygenic, air-proof pump container and the fact that the product itself has a nice, light, almost serum-like texture. You’re to wear it under your moisturiser and don’t have to rub it all over your face, only directly onto the spots themselves. At this rate, I’m sure the bottle will last me for ages – something that makes me feel a lot better about the pricetag.

Anyhoo, wish me luck and I’ll keep you in the loop.

Hi girls

So here’s my little update… I’ve been using Prevage Clarity Skin Tone Corrector for just over six weeks now and can tell you that it definitely DOES work. It hasn’t completely removed my pigmentation, but its helped lighten it up to an extent that I’m not bothering to use concealer on my spots anymore.

Now to fill you in; my little spots were noticeable to me when I wasn’t wearing make-up, but nothing I really worried about. However, two weeks into my test, I went to Thailand for a week and pretty much lived in the sun. Despite applying an SPF every day, all that UV exposure cranked up my pigmentation to the max. Check it out:

This is a close up of my face that I snapped next to the pool of the hotel in Phuket. I’m wearing no make-up save for tinted lip balm (and my eyelashes are tinted – in case you wondered…)

You can see I’ve got slight pigmentation blotches below my eye, but I wasn’t all that worried. This has been happening on beach holidays for the past few years now; the spots go intensely dark in the sun and then gradually fade out within three months. Thing is, as I’ve been using the Prevage product religiously, the marks have faded out three times as fast. Look:

Not the shot you want your ex-boyfriend to find should he Google you, but hey, I’m taking one for the team…

As you can see from the pic, I’m pretty much back to were I started, if not a bit better off, in a mere four weeks.

In all, I can tell you that Prevage definitely worked out for me. Also, as you only have to use a teeny little drop on each spot and not all over your face, I’m probably not even a quarter through my bottle. If you’ve got mild pigmentation you’d like to blitz, consider trying Prevage Clarity. It worked for me.
