I was first drawn to this product by the beautiful packaging. The container is a sturdy lilac compact that includes a mirror and a soft little sponge. Although I like it when it comes with a sponge, as it makes it easy to apply the powder, it becomes dirty very fast. A gentle cleanse is required to ensure that the sponge doesn’t disintegrate.

I applied this product in the morning after my foundation to set it, and I was very surprised at its lasting power. It seriously lasts all day and keeps shine at bay so that you don’t look like a disco ball by lunchtime. It allows your skin to breathe freely without looking cakey. I also appreciate that it covers some imperfections and blemishes, and smoothes and brightens your skin. It contains SPF25 as well, which is something unique that I’ve never come across in any other face powder before.

It’s very gentle on my normally sensitive skin and didn’t cause any breakouts. I highly recommend this powder. It does exactly what it says it will do, but I was most impressed with its amazing lasting power and its ability to give some coverage without making my pale skin look even paler or dull.

I make use of a powder foundation every day, so I knew exactly what I was looking for in this type of cosmetic. I had high expectations, especially knowing that this powder foundation was a Maybelline product. Normally when you have high expectations of a product, you are let down by the outcome. In this case, I wasn’t. I absolutely love and would recommend Maybelline Clear Smooth All In One Powder to anyone that loves a good powder foundation.

I used the powder in shade Nutmeg – which was perfect for my skin. It went on evenly and didn’t cake at all once it was applied. It also controlled oil very well, which is something I am very picky about.

I especially love the way this powder foundation has been packaged. In its slim, compact casing, it is ideal to carry with you anywhere and everywhere, plus it has little sponge applicator included. Maybelline Clear Smooth All In One Powder is a great, must-have beauty product.

I used this product to smooth out my complexion and take the shine off my face – it worked beautifully.  I liked the packaging and found that it would slot into my purse quite easily. The powder is light and has a very pleasant feel and smell. I have freckles and while I did not want to cover them, I did want to smooth my look a little.  I applied it twice a day, once in the morning with a small touch-up in the afternoon. I am very happy with it and would definitely recommend and purchase it.  I however do not like the applicator – I thought a soft brush would work better for me. Thank you

The Maybelline Clear Smooth All In One Powder product says to offer: oil protection, protection from the sun, overall coverage of blemishes and dark spots. I’d give this powder 3 out of 5 beauty stars because of the following: I used the powder in colour mocha and found it to give a matte effect to my overall appearance.  The powder is light and soft and smells great! Most importantly it carries an SPF25, which is great sun protection!

However, the downfall I found was it did not stay matte for more than an hour so, which is not great if you have oily skins – minus a point, sorry! Also I received comments that my skin seemed dull and darker, so no compliments were received. Overall the product is well packaged and presentable, smells great and smoothens the skin’s appearance but I would not buy it as I found it did not help with my oily skin nor did it brighten my complexion.
