First and foremost I would recommend that you don’t use your Straighter more than three or four times a week. And it is very important that when you are using a straighter, that you use a heat protection on your hair. Preferably one that re-activates when heat is applied. I would also recommend that when flat ironing your hair, take smaller sections so that the heat can penetrate more easily. And if you are going to straighten your hair more than the recommended amount per week, I would advise that you only go over each section of hair once.
