Question: Alcohol In Toners

I hear that the alcohol content in toners is bad? Is this true

Answer

Thank you so much for your question. Unfortunately this is true. Some alcohols in toners interfere with the skin’s pH, disturbing the skin’ss barrier. This desensitizes the skin and strips the natural oils causing dehydration and loss of general function. I would suggest perhaps investing in a good toner, that is alcohol free and could be beneficial for your skin for example; Skin Medica’s toners are all fantastic, Environ’s aplha toner has great results as its active ingredient is an AHA or perhaps Nimue. You could even look into using a range that does not require a toner like NeoStrata or Lamelle.
