Question: Bleaching

I am using Vaseline Healthy Even Tone Lotion B3 sunscreen but am scared that it’s going to bleach my colour. I am dark and I don’t want to change (I just want it to even my skin tone and protect me from the direct sun in Eat Africa). Should I continue using it?

Answer

Thank you very much for your question. Let me just say that it takes very active ingredients to really bleach someone’s skin. It is highly unlikely that an over-the-counter preparation is going to do this. So I would not worry about this being an issue (as long as your sunblock is not causing you any sensitivity). Please continue to use a good sunblock every single day as this is absolutely vital. Please feel free to contact me again for any other questions you may have.
