Question: Blemishes

hi, I am 21, and i regularly break out, sometimes i cant leave the house without a pound of make up on because my skin is so bad, my mom says its hormonal but im not a teenager anymore so i really dont know. Ive heard that taking the pill will help for bad skin, will it help mine?

Answer

If your break outs are due to a hormonal imbalance, which sounds like it could be the case, then the pill will most likely make a difference. The pill has been used for a long time as a means of helping young ladies control their skin by keeping the hormones in a normal, balanced cycle. Just make sure that you are using sunblock every day as break outs can also results in darkened spots of pigmentation and you really want to prevent those. You can also consider using a very good, active spot treatment to help you control those breakouts (such as Lamelle’s Active Control Gel).
